The Web Presence of Local Radio Stations and Newspapers.
A comparative study based on the Portuguese case |

The paper I’m proposing, intends to analyze the Web presence of local radios and newspapers comparatively. It comes in the sequence of other two other papers, were the Web presence of radio and newspapers were examined separately, both published respectively in the Revista da Universidade Fernando Pessoa and at the CISTI'2007- 2nd Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies proceedings.
It will start to refer the circumstances that allowed the radio and newspapers Internet sites booming. It will proceed mentioning some bibliographic landmarks on the subject, concerning namely: the technologies, the contents, and the business model. Then the methodological aspects will be addressed: universe; sample; variables in study and respective parameters. Afterwards the results and the data collected will be evaluated and analyzed, to conclude some considerations will be drawn, pointing out to threaten and opportunities to the development of the Internet platforms, owned by local radios and newspapers. |
